Tentoonstelling 'Photo Exhibition 80 Years of Freedom' in Rijssens Museum
On Saturday 29 March, the PHOTO EXHIBITION 80 YEARS OF FREEDOM was opened by mayor Jurgen van Houdt with great interest.
In February, photographers Henk van der Stouw of Studio 81 and Gerbert Voortman of 123PIX organised a photo competition in collaboration with the Rijssens Museum, in which everyone was called upon to take or select the most beautiful photo with the theme 80 years of Freedom. The participants were asked to think carefully about the concept of freedom and to portray what freedom means to them. They could also focus on history and how our freedom came about. Or how our freedom is still guaranteed. All images that fit the theme well could be submitted.
The number of entries exceeded expectations. From all entries, 13 images were selected that were attached to a special surface, which makes the quality of the image even better. They have become real works of art that are worth preserving. All other entries can be seen on the screens in the large hall of the Koetshuis. Freedom looks different to everyone and this very diverse and unique collection certainly shows that.
The PHOTO EXHIBITION can be viewed for free from 1 April to 10 May in the Koetshuis of the Rijssens Museum from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm.
