Eden Camp Modern History Museum

Arrived today with our family for our first visit to the Eden Camp. Purchased the tickets online as requested on the website, to reduce contact. Arrived, showed our tickets and we were given an overview on the one way system in place, asked if we have face masks with us to please wear them, then advised to park in the car park leaving a space between each car, all appeared to be good at this point. Upon parking we followed the signs the first hut (1) where advice of social distancing/face masks/consideration for other visitors went out of the window, it was a free-for-all! No staff, no restrictions in place, no regulation on the amount of people entering the individual huts, nothing. Highly concerning as the Eden Camp is a family attraction, which will attract visitors of ALL AGES, specially visitors that are in high risk groups. Extremely disappointed of the lack of management/leadership/visitor consideration. Strong advice - “Stay Away’ until correct procedures are put in to place to protect the general public. Completely disgraceful for what is a nice visitors attraction.

I thought it was very good. A wide age range in our family which pleased us for the detail and the inter-activeness of some of the huts: the Great Escape and the U Boat. Very hot when we visited so the heat drove us home after 6 hours and we only saw about half. Really friendly and welcoming staff, very helpful. Free parking and no hassle when eating your own food, places to eat provided. Thoroughly recommended. for all the family. All prices, especially for the inevitable ice creams very good.
